This September sign up to run a half marathon for your local Hospice. 2020 has seen the cancellation of all our major running events which means no silverware for this year’s runners. To ensure our dedicated runners don’t let all their hard work and training go to waste Southern Area Hospice have decided to bring to you a virtual Hospice Half Marathon (13.1 miles), in replacement of the popular Great North Run which is usually very well attended by our Hospice Runners.
We are asking you to run your own half marathon in your own locality, any time throughout the month of September and time your run using an app such as Strava, Fitbit or Apple etc. You can then upload your screenshot onto our Facebook event page to show your completion and there will be an amazing prize for the fastest time, judged by local professionals. There is no entry fee, but we would ask that you set up an online fundraising page or we can give you a Hospice sponsor card and you will even receive a special 2020 medal if you raise a minimum of £10.
