Write a commentThree people have died following a two vehicle road collision near Junction 20 at Carickarnon on the NI close to the Louth Armagh border.
The incident happened around 2.15am this morning.
Diversions remain in place with traffic being diverted via the old Dublin Road.
Newry and Armagh MLA Conor Murphy commenting on the tragic news said "This is devastating news for the families and friends of those who have been tragically killed in this accident.
"Every loss of life on our roads is a tragedy but the impact on families, friends and entire communities after an incident like this cannot be underestimated. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been involved or affected."
