With the outstanding success of the Halloween Twilight Market in Newry Variety Market last Friday Newry, Mourne and Down Council have set the date for the Christmas Twilight Market. It will take place in the same location on Friday 8 December from 5pm to 8pm.

Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew said, “The event was central to the Council’s Newry Halloween celebrations and saw over 60 stalls on display with over 7,500 people attending the event. The event showcased best local food and drink, as well as local craft businesses, a live music stage, children’s activities, a ghost walk, fairground rides and walk about entertainment – all of which culminated in a spectacular fireworks display.”
“The atmosphere was wonderful. The market was abuzz with the sights and smells of autumn and it was fantastic to see people out in their thousands. The Council is delighted to stage these events and support other local Halloween activities and fireworks elsewhere for all families living our district to enjoy.”
