A teenager and a 24 year old man have been charged following a reported assault in the Cleary Crescent area of Newry in the early hours of Wednesday. The two appeared at Newry Magistrates Court.

The 15-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
The 24-year-old man was charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of a Class C controlled drug.
A 17-year-old male appeared in connection with the incident at Newry Magistrates’ Court last Thursday 30 May while a 29-year-old man also arrested was released on bail pending further enquiries.
