A total of £33,843 has been raised for Evora Hospice from its first “Bubbles on the Bay” event, held in June at the Whistledown Hotel in Warrenpoint.
The hugely successful event brought together the local community for an evening of elegance, entertainment, and generosity. This year, Evora Hospice needs to raise £4 million to enable it to continue to provide its vital specialist palliative care services.
Caroline Grant, Chairperson of the Hospice Dance Committee, expressed her gratitude “We are absolutely thrilled with the success of Bubbles on the Bay and the incredible amount raised. Every pound will go directly towards providing vital care and support for patients and families in our community. On behalf of the committee, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
Organisers want to give special thanks to the event’s lead sponsors, Ashtree Financial and Tinnelly Group, for their continued generosity, to R Kings Competitions for their support of the Golden Ticket Raffle, and to the many local businesses who donated raffle prizes. Most importantly, sincere thanks to everyone who attended and contributed.
“The Hospice must fundraise over £4 million this year to continue its services,” Caroline added. “Events like this not only raise much-needed funds but also remind us of the incredible support we have in our community.”
The Hospice is already looking ahead with excitement to next year’s Bubbles on the Bay.
