Crafty Newry is a new enterprise started by Emma Gilles the organisations Creator and Art Director. Crafty Newry was inspired by their sister enterprise in Belfast. They are working along with Neighbourhood Newry and Amplified at their upcoming "Day of the Dead" Mexican Themed Burlesque Party on Saturday the 2nd of November where they will be creating hair and makeup effects from 7PM till late inside the nightclub.
The Day of the Dead event is a celebration of the sacred and the profane in the spirit of the beautiful tradition "Ël Dia de Muertos" and it will be held in Amplified Bar, Water Street.
To celebrate the launch of Crafty Newry, Emma Gilles is offering a lucky reader A stylish hair cut and colour with an in depth consultation which will be key to achieving the colour and shape you have always wanted.

Crafty Belfast has been involved with the creative industries & music scene down in Newry quite a lot this year and has enjoyed meeting new creative folk!!
After being invited to help decorate the boutique festival Tanglewood Arts Music & Comedy Festival 2013, Newry Council got in touch and they enjoyed street styling at Newry's first ever culture night and so it seemed only right to create a sister venture hence the birth of "Crafty Newry"
