Write a commentAt least two fire appliances have attended a gorse fire on Camlough Mountain this evening, an unusual scene for February.
On a Chilly Monday evening as the sun was setting over South Armagh and everyone expecting six inches or more of snow, somehow the slopes of Camlough Mountain overlooking Camlough Lake burned bright with several hundred feet of mountain side ignited.
The fire burned for at least 3 hours before being brought under control by the Fire Service.
