Detectives are investigating a burglary at a house in Bessbrook in which a woman was attacked and threatened with a knife in the early hours of this morning 25 May.
The incident occurred at residential premises in College Square East, Bessbrook, at around 2.45am today. Detective Sergeant Keys said: "At around 2.45am, it was reported that two masked men entered a house through a rear door. They then attacked the female occupant inside by kicking and punching her causing facial injuries. One of the suspects threatened the female with a knife before leaving."
Detectives are continuing their enquiries and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
