Well the 2023 Iúr Cinn Fleadh is slowly coming to an end but not before the intrepid organisers throw in a few more top class events.
Today at Newry Museum from 2-4pm The Rooney Family are hosting a session and it gives you the chance to have a look around the museum at the same time. There's a Trad in the Archives event at 7.30pm in McCooeys Cafe with a special screening of Fiddler On The Road – the story of travelling fiddler and tinsmith Johnny Doherty. This beautiful documentary follows Johnny on the roads of Donegal. This free event is brought to the Fleadh by Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive. And it’s not to be missed. To finish things off nicely there is the Final Fling in The Railway Bar from 8pm on. Of course the Trad Cruise is running twice today again but unless you have your tickets already booked, that ship has sailed as it is booked out!
