Write a commentLeadarra Ensemble is one of London's brightest young chamber music groups. They are recognised for their fresh approach to music making, delivering beautifully formed interpretations which combine high energy, sensitivity and virtuosity. They will take to the stage at The Sean Hollywood Arts Centre in Newry on next Saturday 26th April at 7.30 p.m.
The five members of the Ensemble are all highly accomplished soloists and chamber musicians and are studying at the top conservatoires in London ~ Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Collectively, they have performed in prestigious venues in Europe and the USA, including the Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Philharmonie Kammermusiksaal.

The recital will begin with the delicate and charming "Spring" quartet by Mozart, contrasted with Shostakovich's dark and deeply tragic String Quartet no.8. To conclude, the Ensemble will perform one of the greatest chamber music masterpieces ever written - the Piano Quartet No.1 by Johannes Brahms.
