Newry Musical Feis has moved to a new venue for 2025 and this morning saw the festival open this morning 15 February with the Irish Dance (Open) section. The massive home grown Newry festival will take place at The Quays in Newry this year due to continued uncertainty over when Newry Town Hall and the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre are closing to begin the refurbishment of the Town Hall and the demolition of the Arts Centre to make way for a new theatre.
Irish Dance (Open) continues tomorrow 16 February followed by Speech and Drama (Open) 10-15 March, Music 30 March - 5 April, Ballet and Theatre Dance 6-12 April, Traditional Irish Music 13 April, Speech and Drama (Schools) 28 April - 2 May, Irish Dance (Confined) 3-4 May.
With the exception of some specialist Music Section classes all performances will be in the Artisan Market location at The Quays.
