Acclaimed North Coast artists Adrian Margey and Evana Bjourson are set to showcase their latest work at Killeavy Castle Estate this weekend in a major joint exhibition running on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November which will see canvases depicting local scenes including the Flagstaff, Rostrevor and Ring of Gullion available for purchase.
The event will take place in the castle's elegant Garden Lounge from 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 11am to 6pm on Sunday, offering visitors the chance to experience the distinctive and complementary styles of the husband and wife duo displayed side by side in an atmospheric setting.
Margey and Bjourson have earned wide acclaim for their evocative portrayals of Ireland's landscapes, seascapes and people. Bjourson, who holds a Masters in Architecture from Ulster University, is celebrated for her emotive figurative paintings and dynamic studies of mountains and waves, exploring themes of strength, movement and human connection. Margey, who holds a PhD from Queen's University Belfast, is renowned for his bold, expressive works that fuse contemporary vibrancy with a deep sense of place and tradition.
Margey's recent exhibitions in Washington DC and live painting at Tourism Ireland's Experience Ireland Showcase in Milan have further cemented his international following, and demand for both artists' work continues to grow among collectors at home and abroad.
Speaking ahead of the event, Margey said: "We're really looking forward to welcoming visitors to Killeavy Castle to experience our latest collection. New depictions of the Ring of Gullion, the Mournes, Flagstaff, Carlingford Lough, Warrenpoint, and Rostrevor will feature alongside Dublin and Belfast cityscapes, portrayals of traditional Irish musicians and a fresh series inspired by the North Coast and Donegal."
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet both artists during the weekend and discuss potential commissions. Admission is free and all artworks will be available for purchase.
