We've eventually got around to publishing the results of the July 'Newry Architecture' round of the Newry.ie Photographer of the Year and Tomasz Pietruszka is the winner for July followed by Gavin Eaton. Tomasz wins a £25 voucher for Finegan and Son.
The NPOY scores to date sees Gavin Eaton pip Tomasz Pietruszka to the post by just 2 point leaving him in the lead with 356 points.
The Judge was quite critical of the July entries with only the winning entry standing out in any way. Other entries while capturing the architecture of the buildings didn't move beyond a straightforward snapshot. The shot taken through a glass globe represented more arty than architecture the Judge felt.
