Proving they are the fittest firm in the province, staff from the Autoline Group are in training
for summer marathons, international treks and a province wide cycle.

Michelle Rooney, Caroline Wade and Jillian Hollywood from Autoline’s Newry office joined forces recently with their Coleraine colleagues from Campbell Autoline to take part in the Belfast Marathon on 4th May. Michelle is taking part in a relay team in aid of Autism and Lourdes charities while Coleraine team-coordinator Liz McMullan and her energetic recruits will be running in aid of Alzheimer’s disease.
Caroline will also take part in Trek Vietnam later in the year to raise funds for Southern Area Hospice Services.
A number of staff from the Newry office took part in the first Newry marathon and James Dinsmore, Kevin Curran and Rita Bentley are some of the Autoline staffers currently in training for this year’s event which takes place on 25th May 2009.
Managing Director Michael Blaney and three colleagues will be embarking on the Cooperation Ireland Border Cycle at the end of June for the third year running.
Last September over 20 staff from the company took part in a 100 mile provincial cycle in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and the company plan to repeat this cycle in September to raise further funds as well as add a series of ‘sponsored walks’ for each of their five offices to their list of annual activities for local charities.

Marketing Manager/Head of Marketing Roisin Graham says: “The Autoline Group has over 130 employees in five offices across the province and we’re delighted that so many are keen to be involved in these events for local charities. It’s fun and is a fantastic way to team build, particularly as we’ve acquired a number of new brokerages in the last year. We’re probably going to become known as the fittest workforce in the North!”
The Group which is known for it’s innovative staff perks, subsidises gym membership to Gym Tech for staff at the head office on Rathfriland Road and the company is also actively promoting the government backed ‘Cyclescheme’ - two initiatives which no doubt will make a significant contribution to training for all the employees participating in upcoming marathons, treks and provincial cycles.
