Newry-based wastewater treatment company, Viltra, is embarking on a recruitment drive in the new year, offering seven new job roles and one replacement position to support its ongoing expansion. The company, traditionally recognised for its domestic work, is strategically shifting its business focus to 70% commercial and 30% domestic operations.
Specialising in innovative wastewater treatment plants, Viltra caters to environmentally conscious commercial clients, ensuring that the wastewater leaving their premises is as clean as the incoming water. In the domestic sector, Viltra is a prominent supplier of single or multi-unit sewage treatment plants for new builds and housing developments without access to the main sewer system.
Colm Gribben, CEO of Viltra, highlighted the company's consistent growth, particularly beyond NI. The recruitment initiative aims to address the needs of the Republic of Ireland and the UK markets, with roles in the South and Scotland. Viltra is also expanding its teams in manufacturing, design, and operations at its Newry headquarters to meet the anticipated demand in 2024 and beyond.
Gribben expressed enthusiasm for the company's trajectory, emphasising its commitment to delivering innovation and efficiency across various markets. Viltra's clientele includes renowned entities such as The National Trust and RSPB, along with private organizations like Finnebrogue and Deli-Lites.
As Viltra ventures into an exciting phase of growth, Gribben emphasised the importance of the team, welcoming new additions in the coming months. The recruitment drive is expected to elevate the company's workforce to over 40 employees. Located on the Damolly Road in Newry, Viltra serves the UK and Ireland as well as France and mainland Europe.
