A sterling performance from the junior tennis players secured victory for St. Colman’s in the recent Newry and Mourne Schools’ Tennis Championship. The format in the singles was round robin with each competitor playing four matches. Neil Jones was the overall winner beating strong opposition from other local schools.
Also victorious in the doubles were Ronan Mc Mahon & Tiarnan McGowan. This was certainly a great result for the college. Other boys participating were Christopher Monaghan and Joseph McCartney
Senior boys also competed in the competition with James Muldoon securing victory in the singles final against David Richmond from Abbey Grammar
