Write a commentSouthern Regional College, Newry Campus hosted their annual hairdressing competition for all NVQ Level 3 full time and day release hairdressing students as part of their qualification.
A packed audience viewed and sampled the three different categories in the competition: Commercial Day Style, Ladies Evening Style and Avant Garde.
The judges on the day who had the very hard task of selecting the category winners were Stephen McCusker from Hair by Stephen International, Meave O’Healey Harte, Producer and Editor of the Irish Hairdresser International Magazine, Helen Reavey, past student and international competition winner, and Karen McArdle, previous Irish Business Woman of the Year from Chaplins, Dundalk.
For another year, the level of creativity in the competition exceeded expectation and all the lecturers involved expressed their thanks to students, families and salons for all the hard work and dedication that was needed to make the day such a success.
