Newry Chamber Music are presenting a concert on Tuesday the 31st of March in Newry Cathedral in aid of little Patrick Jackson and the Tree of Hope charity.
They will be performing Haydn’s Easter masterpiece ‘The Seven Last Words of Christ from the Cross’ for String Quartet.

This is a wonderful, poignant and reflective piece of music depicting the final moments of the life of Christ. It will be accompanied by readings and a set of poems written by Mark Strand which were written especially to accompany the piece.
The concert is in aid of The Tree of Hope Charity a charity that is dedicated to raising money for sick children.
On this occasion they are hoping to raise funds to support Baby Patrick Jackson and his family. Patrick was born in August 2014 and suffered severe brain damage at birth.
You can help or find out more about Patrick on their Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/pjsfriends/
Entry to the concert is free and there will be a retiring collection afterwards in aid of the charity.
