Write a commentMotorists have been thanked for their patience and support after members of the PSNI revisited the scene of a fatal road traffic collision which claimed the life of 58 year old Neil McCooey.
Police conducted a checkpoint on the Newtown Road as part of their investigation into the collision which occurred on the road around 5.30pm on Friday, 10 January when Mr McCooey died following the collision.
Inspector Stephen Humphries said: "Despite traffic delays, motorists were patient and offered what information they could.
"We are reissuing our appeal for information and would ask anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Newtown Road around the time of the collision to contact us at Newtownhamilton Police Station by calling 0845 600 8000."
