Write a commentA 25 year old man has been charged with assault following the assault of a man in his 50's at the entrance to a bus station in the Mall area of Newry yesterday, Tuesday.
Police are also investigating a report of an assault at the Margeret Street area shortly after 5:50pm yesterday. It was reported that a male was assaulted in the area by two males. A 25 year old male and a 22 year old male were arrested in relation to the incident and are currently helping police with their enquiries. Both males have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
At this stage, police believe that both incidents are linked. Enquiries are continuing.
