Write a commentTwo men have been arrested following the stopping of vehicles on Bridge Street and the Camlough Road on Friday past and today.
The PSNI arrested a 45 year old man on Friday the 11th of January after recovering a quantity of drugs.
Officers stopped a car on Bridge Street, Newry, around 8.25pm after observing it breaching a red light. A preliminary impairment test was carried out on the driver and a small quantity of suspected cannabis was recovered during a subsequent search.
The male was cautioned for possession of a controlled substance.
Police in Newry also arrested a 33 year old man during the early hours of this morning, 14th January, following the seizure of a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.
Police stopped a car on Camlough Road around 4.30am. A quantity of white powder, suspected Cocaine, was seized.
The 33 year old man was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
