On Thursday, 7 February, a customer arranged to meet a seller in Newry after arranging the purchase of two Iphone 5s through an internet selling site. The customer met the seller and handed over £600 in cash for two iphones which were packaged up in iphone boxes. When the customer examined the phones he found them to be faulty and took them to a shop where it was confirmed that they were fake.
A 24 year old man and 42 tear old man were arrested in Newry on Friday, 8 February. Both have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police in Newry have arrested a 47 year old man on suspicion of driving whilst unfit, following a road traffic collision on Main Street, Newry.
Around 8.30pm on Sunday, 10 February, a green Toyota Avensis car was in collision with a blue Range Rover. The driver of the Avensis was described as being drunk and made off from the scene.
Officers later located the vehicle and the 47 year old man was arrested. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
