Local Police with the support of Newry and Mourne Policing and Community Safety Partnership held an event on Saturday in Newtownhamilton Mart to provide advice to the farming community on ways to help prevent crimes such as the theft of trailers or farm vehicles.
PSNI Officers were on hand to talk about the trailer marking scheme which has been launched in the Newry and Mourne District Council Area.
The farm items are marked with a clearly visible identification mark and acts as a deterrent to anyone considering stealing the item.
