The female was found in Bessbrook Pond at 6.25pm and died a short time later in hospital.
Police are appealing to anyone who observed a female runner in Bessbrook between 6pm and 6.25pm on 24 January, wearing black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes, a pink running jacket, multi-coloured blue trainers and earphones, to contact them.
