Newry Business, Blackthorn Furniture based on the Rathfriland Road are one of Newry Fliers newest sponsors, sponsoring the girls under twelve team.
It has been a tough year for the newly established Newry Fliers U12 girls team who came to the sport in August of 2015 with no previous experience. A competitive season later and the girls are really starting to look like a team.
The girls have been working hard and all that team effort and determination has been recognised by local family business Blackthorn Furniture.
Dermot of Blackthorn Furniture said that they are delighted to support a local team "we recognise the importance of sport in our community, and we are especially proud to support young women in sport."
The U12 Fliers now look forward to representing their club this April in a NI Blitz in Belfast. The Under 12 girls train in the Abbey Grammar School, Saturday mornings 10.00am to 11.00am - new members welcome.
