Senior Men

It was a busy weekend for our senior men with a challenge game against Mullaghbawn on Friday night followed by another game on Sunday morning against Clan na Gael from Dundalk. As with previous games these proved to be useful workouts for the lads as they continue to build towards their opening league fixture against Correnshigo in early April. Training continues this week as normal.

Senior Ladies

The senior ladies were in friendly action on Sunday morning against Newry Bosco. Despite it being their first game of the year the ladies put a good display against a decent Bosco side and one big bonus was the return of Moya Feehan who was side-lined for most of last year with a nasty knee injury. Training for the senior ladies continues as normal this week.

Mind the Times – A Night of Nostalgia

The club is hosting a Night of Nostalgia on Saturday 26th March. The night is open to all but a particular welcome is extended to all past and current players and members. There is no cover charge on the night and everyone is invited to come along and listen to and tell tales from days gone by - the time when Tags scored a goal and a point from a 50, when Marty Rocket took off soloing and scored a point for the opposition, when Tommy Mooney scored four from the floor. It promises to be a great night’s craic.

Bar Meeting

A meeting for all bar staff has been arranged for Monday, 21st March at 8.30pm in the club. Anyone who is interested in doing a few hours behind the bar is contact to contact Paul O’Neill on 07525032823 or 00353874100480.

Pave the Way

Work has finally started on our Pave the Way scheme and we are encouraging those who haven't yet donated their £50 to get on board and buy a metre of concrete. It is not too late to get involved and contribute to the scheme and get rid of those dreaded potholes once and for all.
