The commitment is welcome news for the club as it embarks on its first season in Championship football.
Commenting on the news Newry City AFC Manager Darren Mullen said “To have the Canal Court extend their deal with us is a great boost for the club. They came on board when we were playing Mid-Ulster football and have remained a loyal sponsor on our return to the Irish League. It is a partnership that works well and I certainly hope that continues in the years to come.'”
Mary Dillon from the Canal Court Hotel added “The Canal Court Hotel are very proud to hold the title of Main Sponsor for Newry City AFC. It is a great relationship to have between a large local business and one of the biggest sports clubs in the local area. As a business built up of local employees we are delighted to help the club develop. It is particularly satisfying to have been associated with Newry City AFC from the beginning and watch as local management and players have brought the club back to senior football which can only be good for the development of sport in our local area. We would like to wish the club the best of luck for the season ahead.”
