
Senior Hurling
Our senior team travelled to play Mattock Rangers Of County Louth last Thursday evening.
Craobh Rua as a team played with great determination and this was a key factor in their 3-11 to 2-4 win in this McGeary Cup fixture.
Craobh Rua seniors are scheduled to play Warrenpoint (Away) this Tuesday night 12th March at 7:45pm. Meeting & Travel arrangements will be arranged
The Armagh Hurling Championship
The teams in the Armagh Junior Hurling Championship are: Sean Treacys, Craobh Rua, Killeavy, Cuchulainns II and Middletown II.
There will be a quarter final game on Saturday/Sunday 13th/14th July
Semi-Finals are listed for the weekend 27/28 July, with the Final listed for the second weekend in August
The draw for the Championship will be conducted at this Wednesday nights Armagh County Board Meeting.
Under 11 Blitz
Underage hurlers participated in the Under 11 Blitz at the Dundalk Institute Of Technology (DKIT) on Sunday last.
It was this group of young hurlers their last indoor blitz of the year today in DKIT.
The Club entered 2 teams and had games against Warrenpoint, Clonduff, Clontibret, St. Fechins, Blackrock & Ballyvarley.
Some great hurling played in good committed and sporting fashion.
All the lads have benefited from these blitz’s and have greatly improved their skills.
Míle buíochas to all who helped with ensuring our young hurlers had an enjoyable and sporting mornings games.

Street Collection
Craobh Rua will hols a Street Collection In Camloch Village on Saturday 30th March. We would appreciate help with the collection on the day. Anyone who wishes to be included in the Rota should contact Raymond Watters.

Under 8 & Under 10 County Blitz
Craobh Rua will host an all County Under 8 & Under 10 Hurling Blitz on Sunday 2nd June. The first all County U8/U10 Blitz will take place in Killeavy on Sunday 28th April.
Hooley Around Cooley Cycle
The date for this annual Cycle has been confirmed as Sunday the 29th September.

Underage Coaching
Training for Under 14 and 16s has resumed on Thursday nights in St Pauls Highschool from 6:30 to 8pm. All information will be conveyed through management. Anyone wishing to help in a coaching or support capacity with our Underage Activities is welcome to approach a team coordinator or Committee member to discuss. We welcome any support or help with all our club activities.
Craobh Rua Hurling Club encourage anyone who wishes to help with any aspect of our Club Activities to speak to an under age mentor or Committee member.We will be happy to give all appropriate support to any individual who wishes to become involved in our activities.

The family & friends of the late Seán Burns have organised a Fund Raising Table Quiz in The Yellow Heifer Camloch on Wednesday 13th March.
Helmet Recycling Scheme
Our club has commenced a a Hurling Helmet Restoration & Recycling Scheme. We would ask anyone with hurling or Camogie helmet that they no longer use to leave them at our Clubrooms on any Tuesday or Thursday evenings. The scheme under the guidance of Paul Cunningham hopes to restore helmets to a safe and appropriate standard so that they can be reused. It is a worthy scheme and we urge all to support it.
