Great to see Patrick Hamilton back and ripping the roads up again. Paddy who's birthday was on St Patrick's Day celebrated it with a podium finish and finishing in second place with number 17 on his bib in a superb time of 00:31:56 at Jimmy's 10k in Downpatrick. The club are looking forward to a great season from Patrick and great to see him back to his best ..
Terry enjoying the craic in Belfast
SGR Terry Mulkerns joined the 1500 other runners in Belfast and proudly represented the club colours at the Spar Craic 10k in Belfast on St Patricks Day in what was a great day for Terry as he came home with a great time of 00:47:25 . All that winter training is paying off as Terry sets his goals for the coming events over the next few months and has started on a high.
Ronan back to his best in Mullingar
Ronan Halpenny took part in the Mullingar Half Marathon on St Patrick's Day to kick off his running season in fine form with a great time of 01:37:00 . We look forward to Ronan's progress as he takes part in events this year as he really has made the Half Marathon distance his own with many pb's all over Ireland.
AGM Registration Day
Slieve Gullion Runners will be hosting their Annual General Meeting and Membership renewal on Sunday 24th March at Slieve Gullion Courtyard and welcome everyone.
The AGM will start from 3-4pm and then existing members and new members can sign up for the new season from 4-5pm. New prices for membership will be
new members £35 inc club vest , renewing membership £25. Only paid members will be Affiliated with Athletics NI and insured within the club.
8 Weks Hill Repeats Programme
The fifth hill repeat takes place this Thursday 21st March from 6.30-7.30pm. 1-mile hill repeats. Start: top of Dublin rd (Cloughue Chapel) This is a 1 hr session to do at your pace. Please allow time for potential traffic and finding a parking space. We would like to start on time and leave together. Please wear reflective gear

This year the bus will be £10.00 per head. Leaving Mulkerns Eurospar @7am Sharp
Arriving at Stormont approx 8am , Marathon start 9am and Leaving Ormeau Park approx 3pm

SGR Dublin Womans Mini Marathan Bus
SGR club member Tina Crawley will be once again running a bus to the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon in Dublin on Sunday 2nd June. This is open to SGR members as well as non-members.
