Ar Aghaidh Linn Le Chéile

The recent sudden death of Seán Byrne has devastated his family and friends. We hope and pray that they will find the strength and courage to get through the days ahead.

We thank all those who supported our Club this week. This includes those  senior & underage players, Club members and friends who helped in whatever way they could to show the Byrne family the huge respect we as a Club had for Seán. This applies also to the many former players and other hurling clubs who contacted us from far and wide expressing their sadness.

We extend a míle buíochas to those Schools who cooperated with our young hurlers allowing them time off to attend Seáns funeral, The Caretakers Of St Pauls High School for providing traffic management gear, the Armagh GAA County Board,  P J Boyle, the local Council for its practical help  and Jim Toner, Daniel Mallon and all the Businesses  at the Mill Yard for the use of the Car Parking spaces.

Seán was a cornerstone of Craobh Rua. He was a true example of what all is good about our Association, Club and community. He went about his affairs diligently and quietly, we in Craobh Rua will carry that example in our hearts and minds  as we go forward together. Ar Aghaidh Linn Le Chéile.

Seán Byrne “The life of the dead is placed on the memories of the living. The love you gave in life keeps people alive beyond their time. Anyone who was given love will always live on in another's heart”
