2019 promises to be another busy year for the club and the incoming committee are asking everyone to get behind them and get involved in the running of the club and help to make it a successful year.
Committee Meeting
All committee members are asked to note that all future Monday night committee meetings will begin at 8.30pm.
U6’s
Our U6 training continues every Tuesday night in Bessbrook Community Centre from 6.00pm - 7.00pm. All boys and girls at this age are welcome to come along for 1 hour’s fun, games and a good bit of craic.
Armagh GAA Club Draw
The very successful Armagh GAA Club draw is running again in 2019. The draw takes place over 4 months - March, April, May and June - with 16 prizes on offer each month. The first prize each month is a Renault Clio, right down to a 16th prize of £200.
Tickets are priced at £100 each with £80 from every ticket going directly to the club after we reach our minimum target of sales. They can be bought by paying the £100 up front or 4 monthly instalments of £25 per month.
Tickets can be purchased from any of our committee members and the more tickets we sell, the more money the club raises. We are encouraging all our club members, families and friends to purchase a ticket either individually or maybe as a group of 4 friends or family members clubbing together at £25 each.
It is brilliant opportunity to raise much needed funds for the club whilst also being in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
Community Walkway
If you fancy burning off the turkey after Christmas, want to begin the New Year by getting fit or just want to blow away the cobwebs our community walkway is open to everyone and anyone who wish to avail of the facility.
Lotto
Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 3, 4, 16 & 18. There were no jackpot winners and 1 x match three winner. The lotto jackpot is slowly but surely creeping up again and now stands at £2,900.
Condolences
The club would like to express its sincere sympathies to the family of Seán Byrne following his tragic and untimely death. Seán was a great Gael and an integral part of local hurling club Craobh Rua and we would like to extend our sympathies to them also at this sad time.
Seán’s family have had a long affiliation with the Shane O’Neill’s club down through the years with members of his family representing the club at Scór, and members of his wider family circle playing for football for the club, including his nephew Donal Austin, a current member of our senior panel. Ár dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
