As well as winning the county Hurling Championship this week Craobh Rua were busy on many other fronts as well.

On Sunday last the young hurlers of Craobh Rua left the club house at 9am on their journey to Derrynoose for an exciting morning of hurling. Craobh Rua played Derrynoose, Sean Tracy's Lurgan,Cuchulainns, Middletown 1 and2 and Keady 1 and 2. This was a great experience, with Kevin Doyle and Eoin Garvey improving with each game. Young Ben O'Hare was outstanding in goals with 5year old Joe McCreesh from Mullaghbawn playing his first ever blitz in the red and white of Craobh Rua. Seamus Cooney had his best game to date for the 'Rua'. Well done to all the boys who won all their matches!

Club Annual All Ireland Draw
The Draw for the All Ireland Final Tickets (Hurling) and a weekend in Dublin will be made this Wednesday night. Tickets are on sale at £10 each. All monies raised will go to help sustain our Club. All players and Committee members have tickets for sale if you would like to purchase one.
Club Merchandise
The arrangements have as been previously stated finalised with O Neills and details of our “Ordering Evening” will be held shortly. Anyone seeking further information should contact Paul Elshaw 0774854460 or any Committee member.
Launch Of Cycling Sportif
We expect our inaugural Euroservices Cycling Sportif to be launched shortly and it will take place in late September. The Cycle will take cyclists from Craobh Rua to Newry, Omeath, Carlingfors,Ravensale, Meigh nd back to Camloch. Cost per participant is £10. Paul Watters is the lead Officer for Craobh Rua in this event and anyone seeking information should contact him.

In the midst of all our joy at winning our first County title, our Club were very mindful of the sudden death of Phylis Byrne and we offer heartfelt sympathies to the Byrne and Hughes families on their sad loss
Condolences: The club offers its sincere condolences to the Burns family Monnina Park and the Fegan family on the recent deaths of Anna and Hugh respectively.
