Write a commentSlieve Gullion Runners are taking to their local forest park this weekend with an 8mile/8K Run and an 8 Mile Walk in aid of Samaritans Newry - Dundalk.
The event starts on Sunday 1st July 2018 with the walk at 9am and the run at 10am, all beginning in Slieve Gullion Forest Park, following the forest trial at the Giants Lair and then on to the scenic drive.
A spokesperson for Slieve Gullion Runners commenting on their supporters said "We would like to thank Terry Mulkerns of Mulkerns’ EUROSPAR on Forkhill Road, Cloughoge for sponsoring the new format of G8 event and supporting our community once again, indeed thank you to all our Mile /KM sponsors for their support."

This year the club are introducing a #SGRZEROWASTE Campaign along with Carlingford Tidy Towns to help maintain the natural beauty of Slieve Gullion for everyone to enjoy. Their water stops will be utilising reusable water cups on the route.
