NIA Live Indoor Senior Open - Abbotstown
Tuesday evening saw Meadow and Joanne McCauley compete at the NIA Live Indoor Senior Open in Abbottstown, Dublin.
Meadow had a good 800m race with a time of 2:29:85 and 2nd placing. A good practice session for the NI/ULSTER INDOORS being held on the Sunday.
Joanne McCauley had a great start off the blocks in her 60m heat taking 2nd place in a PB time of 9:06.
Next event for Joanne was the high jump which she used as a practice session clearing 1:30.
Last event, late in the evening was the 400m for Joanne. She again had a quick block start giving her a 4th place and a deserved PB of 69:62.

Saturday Mountain Training
Saturday early morning training saw members of the Senior Squad meeting up in Kilbroney for a 23 mile route. They headed out by the Mourne Way, up through Spelga before returning back to Rostrevor. It was a tough but good run with a well deserved breakfast as a reward.
BORN2RUN series finale - Castlewellan 5k
Sarah Jane Beattie took part in the Born2Run Series Finale in Castlewellan Forest Park on Saturday morning.
The numbers for this finale race were big for both the 5k and 10k. The 5k that Sarah Jane was racing in had 234 participants!

On a mild morning, Sarah Jane was in great running form starting off hard and fast from the start gun. Sarah Jane’s determination helped her complete the course with a fantastic time of 21:42, 18th overall and 5th Female. This was a course PB for the Newry athlete which was a great finish to the series of which she has had a few podium placings.
ParkRun Armagh
Meadow and Joanne took part in Armagh Parkrun as their Saturday morning training session.
Meadow finished this challenging Parkrun as 2nd Female and cruised over the line with a new course PB of 22:02.

This was a big milestone run for Joanne as it was her 100th Parkrun. This milestone is one always celebrated by the Parkrun community. Joanne completed the course in 24:54 and was placed 6th Female. She can now wear her ‘100’ T-Shirt with pride.
NI/Ulster Indoor Juvenile Championships, Abbotstown
Meadow brought home a NI/ULSTER Bronze Medal after a successful run in the U17s Indoor 800m at Abbottstown on Sunday.
The race had a fast pace set by the lead runner and Meadow used this to work her way up the pack to 3rd place by the 300m mark and sustained this position for the finish line. The hard pace set, allowed Meadow to lift a race PB of 2:27:99.
Lifting bronze means Meadow has now qualified for the Irish Nationals to be held at Athlone in late March.
