Write a commentThe 8th Newry City Marathon takes place on Sunday 29 May and it promises to be a great fun day out for all.
Event organiser Mr Paddy Duffy added: ‘This year the marathon will start and finish outside the Newry Credit Union on Hill Street. There will be a slight change to the route leading to what is now one of the flattest marathon courses, making Newry City Marathon an excellent race for obtaining a personal best record. The full marathon will start in two waves with the elite runners being allocated the second wave. *Cut-off Time: Runners will be expected to finish within six and half hours.
We are also delighted to announce that the 10K will now take place this year due to great expression of interest.
