On behalf of the committee of Shane O’Neill’s I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with the club a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year – to all those who sponsored the club in any way this year, to all those who contributed in any way to the successful running of the club, to all the local papers, websites and photographers who continued to promote our club, to everyone who bought lotto tickets and those all who helped with our fundraising efforts throughout the year, to all our Cairde members, to all our players (senior and underage) and their families and to anyone else involved with the club in any way.
Meabh O’Neill’s Camogie
The camogie club would like to thank everyone who supported their fundraising bag pack in Tesco on Saturday. A huge thank-you to those who gave up their free time to help make it possible and many thanks to all the members of the public who gave generously to support the club. Meabh O’Neill’s would like to thank Tesco management and staff for their support and allowing the club the opportunity to fundraise in their Newry store.
This coming Tuesday, 20th December is the last camogie training before Christmas. Training will resume on Tues 10th January 2017. The club would like to take this opportunity to you all happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.
AGM
The clubs Annual General Meeting will take place in the clubhouse on Sunday 8th January at 3.00pm. This is undoubtedly the most important meeting of the year and we are asking all current and past members, players (past and present), parents of our underage footballers and anyone else with a genuine interest in the club to come along. 2017 promises to be any busy year for the club and we are encouraging everyone to get on board to help make it a successful one.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Blaithin Mackin and Jessica Watters who have been selected to represent Ulster at the Schools Inter-Provincial tournament in January. Congratulations also to Louise Kenny who recently named as the Gaelic Life Player of the Week
Lotto
Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 9, 16, 19 & 29. There were no jackpot winners and 2 x match three winners. The jackpot now stands at £4700.
