All roads lead to Parnell Park in Dublin next Sunday for the Senior Ladies All-Ireland Final against Annaghdown from Galway. The girls have been training hard since their semi-final victory over Parnell’s and are really looking forward to next Sunday. This young Shane's team have been fantastic right throughout the year and possess huge levels of heart and spirit to add to their undeniable skill and style.
All of us associated with the club extend our best wishes to the players and management and urge everyone from our club, community and further afield to get behind the Shane's next Sunday to give these young ladies the support they deserve. There are a couple of buses leaving from the club and numerous people travelling by car so the Shane's will have plenty of travelling support with them as they attempt win an historic All-Ireland title.
U21s
Our U21s return to action on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in the Athletic Grounds when play either Craobh Ciaran or Sarsfields in a play-off to see who will meet Grange in the semi-final of the tournament.
U10s
Training for the U10s continues this Thursday evening in St Paul’s school from 7.00pm – 8.00pm.
U8s
Training for the U8s continues this Thursday evening in St Paul’s school from 6.00pm – 7.00pm.
U6s
Training for U6s continues every Wednesday evening at 6.00pm in Bessbrook Community Centre. All boys and girls at this age group are welcome to attend.
Meabh O’Neill’s Camogie
Training for all age groups has now moved indoors for the winter and will take place every Tuesday evening in St Paul's school sports hall from 6.00pm – 7.00pm.
Lotto
Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 6, 12, 13 & 28. There were no jackpot winners and 1 x match three winner. The jackpot now stands at £4550.
Watch Out for Your Neighbours
With recent spate of burglaries in the area we asking to be vigilant and if you notice anything suspicious – strange cars or people – report it to the police. Local people are meeting at the Community House in the village every night at 6.00pm to patrol the area, so if you feel you could help out for a couple of hours please come along.
