Write a commentSouthern Regional College’s Gaelic football team have won the Ulster Colleges Fr. Sharkey Cup following an enthralling 6-9 to 4-14 win over South West College, Enniskillen at Pearse Óg Park in Armagh.
Just when it looked as if the cup was heading to Fermanagh, SRC scored a goal with virtually the last kick of the game to earn a draw.
Both teams agreed to play extra time. Again it was end to end, with SRC showing extra quality and again finding the net to give them the edge.
This is a tremendous achievement from a group of dedicated and extremely talented young men who have done their college and coaches Stephen Ferris and Rory McGreevy very proud.
