Councillor Oonagh Magennis commended the Shane O’Neills GAA Club and the Camlough Community Association for organising the food appeal, packing the food parcels and delivering the hampers to homes throughout the area. Cllr Magennis said “A huge thank you to all involved for their efforts. The generosity of the Camlough people who over the passed 4 weeks have donated items of food has been astounding. It is a credit to everyone for thinking of others during a particularly severe pandemic that has left every family under pressure this year”.
Colleague, Councillor Declan Murphy also thanked everyone for their sterling work saying “Well done everyone, what we have witnessed locally is thankfully typical of Irish people to show generosity and give a helping hand particularly at times of adversity’.
