Two Camlough ladies have raised the amazing sum of almost eleven and a half thousand pounds following their participation in the New York Marathon in November.
The 26 mile jaunt enabled Camlough mother, Joanne Sands and daughter Seana to present a cheque for £11,419.90 to James McCaffery from the Fundraising Department at Southern Area Hospice Services.

It was a first marathon for the Camlough women and they were joined by Joanne's brother, Oliver Boyle now living in New York who was running his 10th.
Thanking all who had sponsored and supported them in their Hospice fund raising events, Joanne said “We had great support from many family and friends including our running/walking friends, Rita, Margaret and Ashling and the Hospice Fundraising Department.
"Myself and Seana would especially like to thank all who sponsored us in our various fundraising initiatives. The £11,419.90 raised was a fantastic amount.”
