Canal Court dish out £7,278 to hospice!

Having generously sponsored the Hospice Ladies’ Luncheon since 2000, the Canal Court Hotel recently assisted the hospice in raising £7,278 through their sponsorship of the 2011 luncheon.

Almost 300 women turned up to what has become an established event in the Newry Social Calendar!   Guest Speaker Tim McGarry, better known as Da from “Give my Head Peace”, entertained those present with his own inimitable style of comedy after which there was a prize draw.

Pictured celebrating the success of the 12th Annual Luncheon are Fiona Stephens, Corporate Fundraiser, Denise O’Neill, Fundraising officer, Deborah Ferguson, General Manager, Canal Court Hotel and Devin McShane, Chef, Canal Court Hotel.

The Hospice would like to thank the Canal Court for their continued support as well as Deirdre Murdock, Personnel Manager for Weight Watchers Northern Ireland plus everyone who donated gifts for the draw.  Watch out for next year’s event which will also be held in May!
