Local man Joseph Smyth is organising a Charity Concert night on Friday the 23rd of May at Bellinis in Newry to raise much needed money for the Philippine Typhoon Disaster.
Joseph is married to a filipino woman and aims to play a hands on part with this fundraiser with all money raised going towards buying food, clothes and essential tools needed to help the continuing relief effort.
Artists taking part include Blackthorn, Joe Devlin, Paul Marron, Peter Cunningham, Thomas McGrath, Tom O'Rourke, Dermot Russell and The Shrubs and it's hoped that many more will take part on the night.
