Write a commentAn elderly lady has been left traumatised after she interrupted thieves in her home in Cloughrea Park, Bessbrook over the Christmas break.
Commenting on the incident Newry and Mourne Sinn Féin Councillor Pat Mc Ginn who has been in touch with family members said "This is an appalling incident, which has left a respected elderly lady, her family and neighbors both traumatised and concerned. I share the anger and concern of the local Cloughreagh community and we hope and pray that the victim will make as full a recovery as possible. Those who break and enter into homes and in particular those of those most vulnerable need to be apprehended and face the full rigours of the law."
It is believed police have arrested 3 people in connection with the incident.
