Write a commentThis Sunday 29th of March sees the very last ever free public concert staged by Newry and Mourne District Council. Over the years they have brought us Brian Kennedy, Jedward, Amelia Lily, The Professionals, Nathan Carter, Gerry Ryan, Shayne Ward and many many more.
The eagerly awaited Legacy Concert on Sunday will mark the historic end of the current Newry & Mourne District Council. The free open-air concert will commence at 3:00pm outside Newry Town Hall and will feature a number of high class performers including: HomeTown, Derek Ryan, The High Kings, Michelle Magee, The HouseM8s, The Professionals. UTV’s Paul Clarke will act as compere.
There will also be a range of Children’s on-street entertainment.
Traffic restrictions will be in operation from 1.00pm on Sunday 29th March 2015. Kildare Street, Hill Street and The Mall will be closed to traffic until 8:00pm that evening. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience cause.

Any children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. In the event of a missing child please report to the nearest security / steward in Yellow Bibs who will deal with the situation immediately.
In the interest of safety for everyone attending the concert you are requested to cooperate with security personnel / event stewards at all times and don’t forget to wrap up warm just in case!
It’s a completely Free concert so No tickets are required.
