The Spirit of Armagh Down Food and Drink Society is hosting a Taste and Tour Experience in Newry later this month. Participants will visit four venues in the city and learn about Newry’s long forgotten history of distilleries, food producers and exporters and the people behind them.
The event is on Thursday 27 July from 8pm.
The two hour walking tour starts in the Bridge Bar, Trevor Hill at 8pm and guests will also visit three other well known Newry hospitality venues sampling world class modern day producers who are all helping to put Newry on the ‘foodie’ scene.
The tour will includes a local beer or cider, cocktail, Irish coffee, chocolate and canapés, in other words what's not to like!
The Society is the brain-child of local businessman Tony McKeown andbeer and spirit expert Conor O'Hare and it's the second of a series of upcoming events.
Tickets are £30 and numbers are limited. You can get yours at www.eventbrite.co.uk
