Organisers are getting geared up for the 47th Annual Hospice Gala Ball on Friday 3 March with this year’s theme, The Great Gatsby.

The Southern Area Hospice Services Dinner Dance Committee have announced that tickets are now on sale for the Social Event of the Year, so why not get in on the action and join us for a night of Roaring Twenties fun in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry.

The evening will commence with a glittering drinks reception, followed by a sumptuous five course meal, a live auction with an array of must have items on offer and a raffle. On the night there will be some unique 1920’s atmosphere and entertainment. Patrons will then dance the night away to live music provided by premier local band ‘Cold Porter’.

Not only will this night be the perfect opportunity for people to get dressed up for a great night out…patrons will also be helping to raise vital funds for their local Hospice. Together, and with your support at this annual event, they can to continue to help those who need it most.

“We are excited to present our Great Gatsby Gala Ball and we hope you all purchase your tickets early as this is sure to be a sell-out event this year” said Geraldine Loughran, Chairperson of the Hospice Dance Committee, “It will be a very special evening and it is always wonderful to see the tremendous support for the Hospice from our local community!”

Tickets are priced at £50, and all proceeds from the event go to Southern Area Hospice. If you cannot attend the event you can still have the chance to enter our patron’s raffle, our volunteers will be selling raffle tickets priced at £1 each in The Quays Shopping Centre, Buttercrane Shopping Centre, Dunnes Monaghan Street and Eurospar Warrenpoint between Thursday 16th and Saturday 18th February.
