The Southern Area Hospice, Dinner Dance Committee has raised the fantastic amount of £23,000 proceeds from their 49th Annual Hospice Gala Ball.

The ball took place on 1st March in the Canal Court Hotel & Spa. Guests enjoyed arrival music provided by the talented John Cosgrove and then danced the night away to live music provided by ‘The Nooks’.
Geraldine Loughran, Chairperson of the Hospice Dance Committee said: “We are privileged to be presenting a cheque to Southern Area Hospice for £23,000 from this year’s dance. It would not have been possible without the help and support from our Main Sponsor QME Mining Equipment Ltd, all those who made donations to the event and provided raffle and auction prizes and of course to everyone who attended on the night. We would also like to thank the businesses and individuals who gave of their time also to make the night a success. It takes £7,123 per day to run our local Hospice and we are delighted to be able to help such a wonderful organisation”.
On the night, patrons enjoyed a fabulous raffle, auction and a superb 5 course gala dinner. This event has been extremely well supported each year by the local community and we look forward to welcoming everyone again in 2020 for the Dance Committee’s 50th Gala Ball.
