H.A.N.D (Helping Autism in the Newry District) are holding their Annual Run for Autism this Saturday the 4th of October and everyone is welcome to take part. The walk/run starts from Lissummon this year.
You can walk or run the ten mile course starting from Lissummon Community Centre and ending in Newtownhamilton via Lisnalea, Kingmills,Whitecross,Ballymoyer and through Newtownhamilton to the finish line on the Dundalk Road.
On the morning of the event buses leave Newtownhamilton for Lissummon from 10.30am up until 11.40am for walkers and from then until 12.30pm for runners. Please allow yourself ample time.
Transport will also be provided to carry changing bags etc., back to Newtownhamilton, where showers, changing facilities and refreshments will be available.
Starting times and cost from Lissummon are:
Ten Mile Walk: 12pm £10
Half Marathon: 1pm £15
Ten mile Run: 1.15pm £15 (All runners will be chipped)
