Write a commentMLA Cathal Boylan has expressed his shock and sympathy following the tragic death of 31 year old Markethill woman Tanya Nesbitt in hospital on Tuesday following a road traffic collision between Loughgilly and Markethill on Wednesday 26 October.
The collision involved a Silver Vauxhall Vectra and a white HGV lorry around 4.30pm and anyone who witnessed the collision or was travelling in the area at the time is asked to contact the PSNI in Armagh on 101 quoting Reference Number 837
Mr Boylan said “I am deeply saddened to learn of yet another death on our roads. My sincerest condolences go out to her family friends and indeed the wider community at this very difficult time,” he said.
“An investigation is being carried out into what exactly happened, and I would urge anyone with information to help out with that, but for now our thoughts and prayers are with her family.”
Mr Boylan’s party colleague and councillor for the area, Darren McNally also offered his sympathies.
“These tragedies are becoming all too familiar on our roads,” he said.
“As we head onto the winter months I would urge people to show extra caution when driving.
“By all accounts Tanya was a beloved mother, partner, daughter and sister and was very popular in the local community. I’m sure her loss will be deeply felt by everybody. My most sincere condolences go to all who knew her.”
