Newry and Armagh MLA Justin McNulty has offered his condolences to the families and communities of the five young people who died in a horrific car crash near Dundalk on Saturday evening.
In a Member's Statement in the Assembly yesterday, 17 November, Mr McNulty spoke of how a Saturday night out, a celebratory event that many can relate to, was turned into a horrific and heartbreaking tragedy in an instant.
McNulty said: "My heart goes out to the families of Chloe McGee from Carrickmaross, Alan McCluskey from Drumconrath, Dylan Commins from Ardee, Shay Duffy from Carrickmacross, Chloe Hipson from Lanarkshire. We offer their families our sincerest condolences and we pay tribute to the emergency services who attended the scene."
The five victims of the tragedy were Chloe McGee from Carrickmaross, Alan McCluskey from Drumconrath, Dylan Commins from Ardee, Shay Duffy from Carrickmacross and Chloe Hipson from Lanarkshire.
